Why am I receiving this error message?
You have specified a start and end dates for a back payment period which do not fall within the same calendar year.
You may have received the error message because you have:
- specified an incorrect start date for the back payment period
- specified an incorrect end date for the back payment period
Do I have to correct the error?
Yes, the a-melding contains errors and/or omissions which you must correct.
You must correct the error by the deadline for submitting the a-melding for the calendar month in which you received the error message.

How to correct the error
- Check the start and end dates you specified, and change the dates so that the start and end dates for the back payment period fall within the same year.
- If the back payment concerns more than one year, you must split the amount. There must be one amount per calendar year.
- Submit the a-melding when you have corrected the error. If you use a payroll system, check with your system supplier if you are not sure how to make corrections in your system.
Example – error in year
A pension company submits an a-melding for May 2018 with information concerning a back payment of employment-related pension and annuities for Lise of NOK 15,000 concerning the period 1 October 2016 to 31 December 2017.
It receives error message MAGNET_EDAG-260 because the start and end dates are in different years.
