Start date differs from a previously reported start date
F110 / MAGNET_EDAG-110
Why am I receiving this error message
You have specified a different start date for the employment compared to what you stated last month.
You may have received the error message because:
- You specified an incorrect start date
- You changed the start date because the employee changed occupation or FTE percentage. The start date must only refer to the date on which the person began their employment, not to changes in duties
- The employee has worked for you previously and you have used the same employment ID as the last time you provided information concerning the employee (you will then have “overwritten” the previous start date and this must be corrected, as there are two consecutive but separate employment relationships)
Do I have to correct the error
The a-melding has been submitted with information which may be incorrect.
If there is an error, you must correct it by the deadline for submitting the a-melding for the calendar month in which you received the error message.
Severity: Guideline

How to correct the error
- Check whether you have specified an incorrect start date for the employment.
- If the start date is wrong, specify the correct start date for the employment.
- If you have reused an employment ID, the previous information you specified will be overwritten. You must then specify the most recent employment under a NEW employment ID (it is recommended that you do this using a replacement a-melding).
- If the start date has actually changed, you will not need to do anything.
- Submit the a-melding when you have corrected the error. If you use a payroll system, check with your system supplier if you are not sure how to make corrections in your system.
- It is enough that you correct the error in the last submitted a-melding. You do not need to correct a-meldings back in time.
Example 1 - the start date is incorrect
A hair salon submits an a-melding for May in which the start date for Kari's employment is stated as being 1 May. In the a-melding for June, it states that the start date is 12 May.
The hair salon receives error message MAGNET_EDAG-110 because the start date has changed. 12 May is the wrong start date; it should have been 1 May.
The hair salon changes Kari’s start date to:
Employment start date | 1 May |
It also enters other obligatory information.
Example 2 - the start date has changed
A service company submits an a-melding for August containing information indicating that the start date for Anna's employment is 1 August. In the a-melding for September, they state that the start date is 12 August. It was originally agreed that Anna should start on 1 August, but the agreement was changed to 12 August.
The service company receives error message MAGNET_EDAG-110 because the start date has changed.
It does not need to make any changes, as the start date they specified is correct.
Example 3 – the FTE percentage has changed and the start date is wrong
Peter started working in a shop on 15 September. On 1 November, his FTE percentage changes from 20 to 100.
In the a-melding for November, the shop accidentally specifies 1 November as the start date for the employment.
The shop changes the information concerning Peter to: |
|
Employment start date | 15 September |
Most recent date of change in FTE percentage | 1 November |
It specifies the same employment ID as previously.
It also enters other obligatory information.
Example 4 – reuse of employment ID
William worked in a shop from January to May. The employment was reported with employment ID x. The shop specified the end date for William’s employment as being in May.
William starts to work in the same store again in September. They state the new start date for Williams’s employment, but use the same employment ID as they used from January to May, x.
The store receives the error message MAGNET_EDAG-110 because the start date is changed. They should have used a new employment ID.
In the a-melding for September, it specifies a new employment ID and start date for the employment, which started in September.
Employment ID | y |
Employment start date | 1 September |
It also enters other obligatory information.
